Manchester City suffers a huge injury blow after Kyle Walker breaks silence on England injury on internation duty
Kyle Walker was taken off early in England’s friendly loss to Brazil. This is another injury worry for Manchester City ahead of their game against Arsenal next weekend.
Kyle Walker missed England’s friendly against Brazil early because of an injury that he hopes is “not too serious.” He hopes to be back soon.
Walker, the leader of Manchester City, went down in the first half and seemed to hold his hamstring. He tried to play on, but Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa quickly replaced him. Gareth Southgate, the manager of England, said after the game that he didn’t know how bad Walker’s injury was but that the player doesn’t usually get hurt.
Now, Walker has updated his fans on Instagram about his health and how proud he is to be captaining England for the second time while Harry Kane is out.
“It was frustrating to leave the game last night hurt, especially since I was captaining the team.” A really great honor.” he wrote, along with a bunch of pictures from the game showing him wearing the armband and leaving the field on his knees.
Walker also said this about his possible return to play: “Hopefully it’s nothing too serious and I’m back ASAP.”
