In the event that the boot was placed on the opposite foot, I would be seeking a penalty for that.

“Given the fact that our team is comprised of young players, I was under the impression that we had already completed that portion of our game. With Dan Burn and Fabby Schar, who both had really outstanding games, we were able to stand up physically and lead to victory.

“It’s that clinical edge and scoring that second goal is what we needed.”

Even though there are eight games remaining to play in the Premier League, Newcastle is now ranked eighth in the table.
