Chelsea disclose a late major setback prior to their St James’s Park match against Newcastle United.St. James’s Park will not feature Mauricio Pochettino on the touchline for Chelsea’s Premier League match against Newcastle United. Many Chelsea supporters were taken aback when the media failed to disclose Pochettino’s suspension until late on Friday night. This afternoon (kickoff: 3pm), Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino will serve a one-match touchline ban against Newcastle United.

Last time out, in a 4-4 draw with Manchester City, the Argentine earned his third yellow card of the season after storming onto the field to confront referee Anthony Taylor. Two of Pochettino’s three cautions occurred against Brighton & Hove Albion and Burnley earlier this season.

“We must be more adaptable; we have become too rigid in our approach,” Pochettino stated. “That is detrimental to the relationship as well.”

“On occasion, we experience frustration because we discussed this during the previous managers’ meeting.” Greater involvement of the instructors is required in these decisions. Not a single instructor holds this perspective. Respect is universally extended to the referees. “We completely recognize that their job is extremely difficult.” “However, there are times when the VAR or other factors can cause you to become frustrated during the game.” Additionally, you are not permitted to lodge a complaint with the referee or the VAR. “That truly is a problem.”

Pochettino had previously ordered striker Nicolas Jackson to run following his one-game suspension for five yellow cards. Furthermore, the Blues manager has issued himself a reprimand.

Powell stated, “[Jackson] was required to flee in order to avoid punishment.” “In addition, I intend to pay for a dinner because I am unable to run and was suspended; therefore, I would rather pay.”

Newcastle are seeking to recover from their 2-0 loss to AFC Bournemouth, whereas Chelsea are seeking to expand on their thrilling draw with Manchester City.
